INVESTIGATION AND ANALYSIS
Client research
Before gathering ideas, I had to research the client that I am working for. The client was the NHS and I learnt a lot from gathering research of the client. I learnt that the NHS is a national health service which is funded by the government that is available to everyone in the UK. I also learnt that the NHS has over 1 million patients every 36 hours and an estimated 25 million GP appointments in April 2022. This has helped me with my project because it has told me that the NHS has had a lot of different campaigns including Dry January and this is a campaign that tells people to not drink alcohol for a month. Doing this will generate a lot of benefits including reducing the risk of diabetes, reduces levels of cancer-related proteins in the blood and having lower blood pressure.
Subject Area Research
Once researching into the client was finished, I had to research into the subject area that I will be producing my product in. This will be the getting active theme. I researched into this subject and found a few articles which helped me with my project. This research helped me a lot because the articles told me the benefits of exercise including weight management, being happy, relaxation, improvement of brain health.
Existing media products research
Following researching into the subject, I had to research into existing media that is related to the project that I am making. I researched into three different media products that are related to the project. This research has helped me a lot because in the first advert that I researched, it told me that if people put extra weight on, it would put extra pressure on the NHS and COVID-19. The advert also was very direct and telling them to change their mindset immediately.
