HEALTH - Post-Production Diary
Post-Production Diary
For radio, I converted the MOV file to a MP3 file using the internet. Once it was an mp3 file, I uploaded it to a sound website where people can listen to the MP3 file. Once uploaded, I added this link to a Google Forms for a feedback form and then I sent it out to others to complete feedback on my radio advert.
I added some calm background music and I turned down the volume of the music and the audio of Saul increased on the whole audio.
For my TV advert, I got a lot of different clips from the production phase and this needed to be sorted into which ones I needed to use for the post-production and final product of my TV advert. I moved the shots that I wanted into a new folder and put all the clips into Premiere Pro and started the editing process.
I started creating a first draft using Premiere Pro and with the clips I had. I experimented using transitions, music, different shots taken and how they would have an effect on the video. The first issue I had whilst drafting up this video was that the audio was too loud so to overcome this, I reduced the audio down to -17 dB and this allowed the actors voice to be heard above the music of the video.
I completed creating this draft and created a form for the first draft feedback where I got some responses and how I could improve on the video that I have made.
I got a lot of feedback from this form. Some of the feedback that I got was to improve the last clip the video as it is very windy. I improved on this and went out to shoot again and got a better clip for this particular shot.
In my feedback form, people also said to make the dialog better in the clips. They said the music was too slow and Saul's voice needed to be heard more. To improve on this, I turned the background music down so you could hear the dialog better.
Additionally, in my feedback form, they said that a bit of the footage was dark. I replaced the specific clip that was dark with a new and improved clip with a new angle and this turned out well.
Finally, someone said on the feedback form to add something relating back to the NHS. I did their suggestion by adding the Better Health logo right at the end of the whole video.
